Workforce Network
The Workforce Network was formed to serve as a regional coordinating entity for the workforce development system. The Network consists of philanthropic funders, local and state government agencies, employers, chambers of commerce, secondary and post-secondary educational institutions, service providers, and workforce investment boards in the Tristate region.
Any organization involved in workforce development in the region is invited to participate in the Network. The Network meets regularly to provide guidance and input. Please contact Ross Meyer for details of the next meeting.
Lead Organization
The Workforce Network was launched due to the leadership of Kathryn E. Merchant, President/CEO of The Greater Cincinnati Foundation (GCF). GCF currently serves as fiscal agent, lead organization of the Network, and chair of the Leadership Council. The Workforce Network Executive Director is an employee of GCF, and is responsible for all aspects of the initiative. As the region’s largest community foundation, GCF will perform this role until a long-term solution for supporting regional workforce initiatives is identified, developed and sustained.
Leadership Council
The Leadership Council serves as an “executive committee” of the larger Workforce Network and provides strategic planning, oversight, and advice on investments. The Council consists of a diverse group of representatives from each sector from across the Tristate region. The current Council includes:
